Thank you for contacting us in regards
to soberRide’s operations during New Year’s Eve. soberRide was
one of the many programs recently affected by the new IRS policies for small
not-for-profit organizations, which called upon us to file previously-unrequired
returns from years of operation. We have submitted all of the necessary
paperwork to resolve this issue and are awaiting the final go-ahead from
the government. While we await this final step, we will not be operating
this New Years Eve. We will continue to spread the message of planning ahead
and designating a driver before going out and with the support of our community,
we hope to have soberRide fully operating again in the near future.
